Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW)

Organizational Mandate: Responsible for the public realm, for public safety and accountable to the tax payers and the business community.

About Us: The Resort Municipality of Whistler is the local government which provides local services and community infrastructure including water, sewer, roads, fire protection, bylaw enforcement, law enforcement through the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, parks, conservation and protected areas, recreation and cultural programs, and resident housing. We also legislate and enforce land use and development and maintain all municipal property, including Whistler Village.

Event Support: Municipal Services and Operational Support, Venues = Whistler Village, Parks & Fields, Municipal Indoor Facilities

Whistler Blackcomb (WB)

Organizational Mandate: Creating the best mountain experience for its customers.

About Us: Whistler Blackcomb is a premier ski resort located in Canada's Coast Mountain Range. A short drive from Vancouver, British Columbia, the resort is a major year-round tourism destination.

With a mile of vertical, the most skiable terrain on the continent and incredible backcountry, Whistler Blackcomb has been consistently ranked the No. 1 ski resort by ski industry and travel magazines. The twin mountains offer 8,171 acres (3,307 hectares) of skiable terrain, ranging from beginner to expert slopes. Whistler and Blackcomb mountains also boast world-class terrain parks, a Superpipe and Family Zones. The regular ski and snowboard season lasts from mid-November to early June, with glacier skiing running until the end of July.

While winters at Whistler Blackcomb are undeniably amazing, the mountains offer exciting activities year-round. From mid-May to early-October, the groundbreaking Whistler Mountain Bike Park kicks into full gear. The world's best lift-accessed downhill bike park features 200 kilometres of trails for all ability levels. Meanwhile, sightseers can beat the summer heat as they hike in the high alpine, passing colourful wildflowers, glacier-fed lakes, wildlife and mountain peaks as far as the eye can see. Whether winter or summer, visitors young and old will catch a bit of that magical Whistler Blackcomb energy.

Tourism Whistler (TW)

Organizational Mandate: Market and sell Whistler to the world as the year-round mountain resort of choice.

About Us: Tourism Whistler is the official marketing organization for Whistler, British Columbia Canada. Tourism Whistler (legally known as the Whistler Resort Association) is a not-for-profit organization representing more than 7000 members who own, manage or carry on business on Resort lands in Whistler, British Columbia. Tourism Whistler was formed in 1979 to market and promote Whistler for the benefit of all its members. Tourism Whistler is responsible for developing coordinated strategies in the areas of marketing and sales to promote the entire Resort. This responsibility includes the operation of the Whistler Conference Centre, the Whistler Golf Club and the Whistler Information Centre.

Whistler Arts Council (WAC)

Organizational Mandate: To build and integrate arts into the fabric of the Whistler community.

About Us: The Whistler Arts Council (WAC) is a registered charity established in 1982 with a mandate to build and integrate arts into the fabric of the Whistler community. WAC is also the lead agent for implementing arts strategies within Whistler’s 2010 strategic framework and the Whistler2020-Comprehensive Sustainability Plan.

Maurice Young Millennium Place (MYMP)

Organizational Mandate: A catalyst to enrich community life and enhance the resort experience through strategic partnerships, community engagement and art programs.

About Us: The Maurice Young Millennium Place Society is a catalyst to enrich community life and enhance the resort experience through strategic partnerships, community engagement and programs. We encourage, support, build and operate innovative programs that challenge, engage and stimulate our community to develop their creative, inspirational and intellectual awareness.

The Society operates Millennium Place as an active meeting place to celebrate mountain life, inspire thought, provoke conversation and share a sense of community. Our programs attract 50,000 visitors annually. At Millennium Place you’ll find the 250–seat Wilhelmsen Hall, hosting music, theatre and films, and community gatherings. There’s also a youth centre offering a fun and safe place to hang out with friends, a meditation room for reading and quiet moments, and an art gallery to inspire.

Whistler Chamber of Commerce (WCC)

Organizational Mandate: Maximize success for all businesses in Whistler by providing support, resources and tools.

About Us: The Whistler Chamber is proud to represent a membership of 800. We are a not-for-profit voluntary organization comprised of Whistler businesses and associations with a 40-year history in supporting local commerce and enhancing visitor experience. Our Mission is to maximize success for all businesses in Whistler by providing support, resources and tools.
